I’m a South African citizen, 68 years old, healthy, fit, and full of stamina. English is my first language.
I am an experienced and well-travelled self-starter with significant experience as an ESL teacher. I am always keen to experiment with new ideas to keep the students engaged and provide an entertaining learning experience.

Work Experience
Aug 2025 – Now.
My mother’s last sister is 80 years old and is terminally ill in South Africa. I returned to South Africa to spend some time with her and other family members in this very difficult time of caring for her.

Employed by Phoenix to teach English as a second language to Grade 3-6 students in 3 Elementary schools in Huwei, Yunlin County in Taiwan and at the Yunlin English Village twice a week.

Teacher Aug 2022 – Sept 2024
When the Australian borders opened for tourists after COVID-19, I left Taiwan to visit my family in Australia. I have applied for residency in Australia and due to restrictions on my application, I was not allowed to work formally in Australia. But I did start recycling used jeans and other denim items by turning them into useful items like tote bags, handbags, placemats, aprons and “room tidies” for artists and children’s rooms.
