I am writing to apply for the opportunity to work at your school. I attached my resume for your consideration. As you will see, I am a native English-speaking graduate and a South African citizen.
I have done life skills education in South Africa for nearly 2 years. I am currently working in China, and it has been close to 10 years working in this wonderful country. My first year in China I worked at a public-school, teaching various grades spoken English. From there, I worked at a training centre for 1 year and 6 months. I am currently a homeroom teacher at one of the best private schools in Hangzhou. Currently I am into my fourth year as a homeroom teacher and fully involved with this IB school and curriculum. So, I have a vast amount of experience working and teaching in China. UOI, Unit of inquiry, which helps students learn about various ideas and concepts regarding the world. I have another year teaching experience in a Primary school in Guiyang, using the IPC curriculum. Designing fun, interactive and student-based learning lessons. Last year I, produced an outstanding art gallery, with over 100 pieces of art, and students were able to speak about various types of art and how it impacted their choice to create them. I have also produced four drama productions with my time in China. I coach football from time to time and have led grade 2 students to second and third place respectfully. This year I led the grade 5 students to their first ever final, where we lost and some of those players have gone on to represent the school.
Lastly, I consider myself very vibrant and full of energy when teaching and engaging with students. I don’t have any bad health issues, bad habits or anything that could jeopardize my career or the school. I’m really passionate about education and bringing a vibrant atmosphere to the classroom.
